Description

  • Build and scale ML pipelines that ingest, clean, and normalize high-frequency telematics data from diverse ELD and vehicle sensor providers.
  • Develop geospatial and time-series models for dynamic ETAs, route optimization, and driver safety scoring.
  • Create anomaly and fraud-detection algorithms for location spoofing, route deviations, and irregular behavior.
  • Build predictive models for maintenance, dispatching, and risk scoring using historical, HOS, and real-time telematics data.
  • Optimize model latency, throughput, and reliability for real-time inference through Catena’s low-latency API.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers and product teams to integrate ML microservices and launch data products.
  • Contribute to product and API direction in an early-stage startup environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining production machine-learning models.
  • Expertise in time-series forecasting, geospatial analysis, anomaly detection, and algorithms such as XGBoost, Random Forests, and clustering.
  • Experience processing large-scale, high-throughput streaming data, including IoT, GPS, or sensor data, with distributed frameworks.
  • Production-level Python proficiency, including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and SQL.
  • Strong API design, object-oriented programming, and automated testing skills; experience with FastAPI and Pydantic.
  • Hands-on MLOps experience with Docker, model deployment, monitoring, AWS, SageMaker, ECS, S3, and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Kafka or Kinesis, Redis, Snowflake, and AWS CDK preferred.
  • Experience in telematics, IoT, logistics, fintech, insurance, large-scale geospatial data, multi-tenant data delivery, third-party APIs, or SOC 2 environments preferred.
  • Must be located in the US; sponsorship is not available, and occasional team onsite travel is required.
