Description

  • Manage the full lifecycle of arbitration claims from initial investigation through final resolution.
  • Review vehicle detail pages and third-party inspections to assess claim validity using evidence-based analysis.
  • Apply NAAA Arbitration Policy and ADESA Arbitration Policy to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Perform financial analysis and use concession calculators to determine appropriate offers and mitigate financial risk.
  • Verify vehicle history using tools such as AutoCheck, Carfax, and Auto Data Direct for issues including title brands and odometer rollbacks.
  • Coordinate vehicle returns and unwind processes when sales are cancelled, including securing the vehicle and title.
  • Investigate late or missing title issues in internal systems and partner with the Titles Team to resolve them.
  • Serve as a neutral mediator to de-escalate disputes and negotiate fair resolutions with buyers and sellers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Team Leads, Accounting, Auction Operations, Customer Experience, and Customer Service.
  • Document claims, communications, investigations, and outcomes accurately in relevant systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail, procedural adherence, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ability to gather, review, and compare evidence to determine claim validity and appropriate resolution.
  • Ability to follow multi-step SOPs and learn, retain, and apply complex rulesets.
  • Strong written communication skills and professional judgment in conveying decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Background in automotive mechanics or reconditioning is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis or communication is preferred.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
