Description

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs.
  • Provide benefits support to employees and help them navigate benefit and claims questions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, including enrollments, plan provisions, and status changes.
  • Ensure benefits and leave programs comply with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform financial reviews of carrier billing, invoices, enrollment records, and payroll comparisons.
  • Maintain accurate benefits enrollment data in the HRIS and support vendor eligibility reporting.
  • Lead new-hire orientation benefit sessions and manage the open enrollment process.
  • Oversee leave-of-absence and disability requests, including review of FMLA, ADA, and state leave implications.
  • Conduct audits, quality checks, and data validation to ensure benefits records are complete and accurate.
  • Prepare reports, maintain administrative procedures, and keep vendor materials current on the company intranet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of benefits administration experience.
  • 5+ years managing leave of absence in a multi-state environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits laws, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and workers’ compensation.
  • Experience with vendor and broker management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions independently.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEBS or SHRM-CP are preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, virtual environments and travel 10–15%.

Benefits

  • Remote, US base salary range of $98,000 to $118,000.
  • New York, NY base salary range of $98,000 to $118,000.
  • Denver, CO base salary range of $98,000 to $118,000.
