Description

  • Lead the Commercial Market strategy and business plan for the Western Region.
  • Develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients to grow the market.
  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships on billable project work.
  • Advance the firm’s brand through speaking, writing, and other external visibility efforts.
  • Collaborate with firmwide, region, and office leaders on market strategy and execution.
  • Identify market trends, future opportunities, and best practices to support growth and differentiation.
  • Oversee market profitability and achieve top-line and bottom-line performance targets.
  • Mentor, coach, assess, and recruit team members to strengthen a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Serve as a client leader and subject matter expert on select project opportunities.
  • Promote Living-Centered Design and integrate the firm’s range of design services.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in one of CannonDesign’s California locations, including Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Diego.
  • Experience leading business development, client engagement, and team leadership in a market-facing role.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans tied to market growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial market, including best practices and evidence-based/research-based design.
  • Experience working with clients at the highest levels and managing billable project work.
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop diverse, inclusive teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with region, office, and firmwide leadership.
