Description

  • Serve as Interim Advancement Director and provide day-to-day leadership to advancement department staff.
  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate advancement projects and priorities.
  • Assess advancement department efficiency and recommend operational improvements.
  • Lead business process reviews and design future-state advancement processes.
  • Lead CRM selection and evaluation projects and optimize advancement CRM/ERP systems.
  • Design and deliver training for client teams.
  • Advise clients on aligning policies, processes, procedures, and staffing with advancement solutions.
  • Collaborate with client functional and technical teams to develop, test, and roll out process and technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior-level advancement professional in a higher education institution.
  • Experience converting, overseeing, or managing a modern fundraising and advancement CRM system, such as Ellucian CRM Advance, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, Affinaquest, Salesforce, Banner Advancement, or Colleague Advancement.
  • Experience assessing advancement operations and recommending process improvements.
  • Experience recommending policy, staffing, organizational alignment, and role-responsibility changes.
  • Leadership ability to facilitate diverse groups, build consensus, and support organizational change and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and a consultative approach with clients.
  • Ability to work in remote and onsite client engagements across the United States and Canada.
  • Preference for full-time or 1099 contract consulting work must be specified in the application.
