Description

  • Serve as an interim Advancement Director and provide day-to-day leadership for advancement staff.
  • Oversee, direct, guide, and coordinate advancement projects and priorities.
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of advancement department operations.
  • Design and deliver training for clients and their teams.
  • Help clients align policy, process, procedures, and personnel to better leverage advancement solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients’ functional and technical teams and CampusWorks colleagues to evaluate current processes and design future-state processes.
  • Architect, develop, test, train, and roll out process and technical solutions.
  • Lead consulting engagements such as business process reviews, CRM selection and evaluation, and CRM/ERP optimization projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior-level advancement professional in a higher education institution.
  • Experience with the conversion, oversight, or management of a modern fundraising and advancement CRM system such as Ellucian CRM Advance, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, Affinaquest, Salesforce, Banner Advancement, or Colleague Advancement.
  • Experience assessing advancement operations and recommending process improvements.
  • Experience recommending policy changes, staffing and organizational alignment changes, and role/responsibility realignment when appropriate.
  • Strong leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups and building consensus.
  • Ability to prepare organizations and individuals for change and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach with end clients.
  • Preference for either full-time or contract consultant (1099) work, as specified in the application.
  • Remote or onsite availability for consulting engagements.
