Description

  • Identify opportunities to replace manual security workflows with scalable automated solutions.
  • Build internal tools and integrations for vulnerability triage, alert enrichment and routing, and GRC evidence collection.
  • Partner with Product Security, Security Operations, GRC, and engineering stakeholders to translate pain points into technical solutions.
  • Design and build reusable “paved road” solutions that standardize security workflows across teams.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and LLM APIs to accelerate implementation and problem solving.
  • Maintain, improve, and scale automation solutions to support growing volume and complexity.
  • Support Product Security workflows such as security reviews, vulnerability triage, and tooling.
  • Support the secure usage and development of AI/LLM-powered features across Calendly as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production-quality systems, services, or automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language; Python, Go, Ruby, or TypeScript are preferred.
  • Experience building integrations with APIs and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong system design skills for scalable, maintainable automation solutions and workflow improvements.
  • Experience working across multiple domains and partnering with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical solutions and explain tradeoffs.
  • Foundational knowledge of common security concepts, tools, and domains such as application or cloud security.
  • Experience using modern AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar to accelerate development workflows.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new security domains quickly.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native systems.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship at this time.
  • GCP experience is a plus.

  • Annual base salary range of $156,400 to $220,800 USD, depending on location tier and experience.
