Description

  • Serve as C5MI’s primary liaison to SAP’s DoD sales organization and SAP NS2.
  • Work daily with C5MI’s growth and sales team to align pursuits with SAP’s pipeline and opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new SAP opportunities across DoD commands, agencies, and components.
  • Build relationships with DoD stakeholders to shape requirements early in the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with capture and proposal teams to develop winning pursuit strategies.
  • Partner with SAP DoD account executives to co-pursue and co-close SAP software deals.
  • Represent C5MI and SAP in customer meetings, demos, and executive briefings.
  • Manage existing SAP DoD account relationships to uncover upsell, expansion, and modernization opportunities.
  • Track customer landscapes, product roadmaps, licensing changes, and DoD compliance requirements.
  • Report pipeline status, relationship health, competitive threats, and market trends to the Chief Strategy Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 14-18 years of experience in sales, business development, or capture management; or 18-22 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in the SAP federal/defense ecosystem.
  • Direct experience with SAP product lines such as S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors, or SAP Analytics Cloud in a DoD context.
  • Experience working for SAP, an SAP partner, or SAP NS2.
  • Working understanding of SAP DoD go-to-market, licensing, and channel partner programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence enterprise software deals and co-close opportunities with OEM sales teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP NS2, its mission, structure, cleared portfolio, and federal strategy.
  • Knowledge of DoD IT modernization priorities and ERP programs such as GCSS-Army, Navy ERP, and DEAMS.
  • Strong communication and executive presence for presentations to SES-level officials, C-suite stakeholders, and SAP leadership.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance; security clearance preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% (less if located in the D.C. area).
  • Preferred: Former SAP employee or senior leader within an SAP Gold/Platinum partner firm.
  • Preferred: Existing relationships within SAP’s DoD sales organization, NS2 leadership, or DoD program offices.
  • Preferred: SAP certifications relevant to S/4HANA, ERP, or Public Sector solutions.
  • Preferred: Experience with government contracting vehicles such as GSA Schedules, GWACs, or OTAs.
  • Preferred: Prior experience shaping acquisition strategy for DoD ERP programs from the industry side.
  • Preferred: Active DoD security clearance (Secret or above).
