Description

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of high-value enterprise customers throughout the post-sale lifecycle.
  • Lead onboarding and guide integration architecture for complex customer environments.
  • Drive deep adoption of Buildkite across customer engineering teams.
  • Conduct delivery reviews and executive briefings with VP Engineering and CTO-level stakeholders.
  • Translate technical findings into strategic business context for customer leadership.
  • Proactively identify technical risks, blockers, and expansion opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Partner with AEs and CSMs by providing technical credibility, context, and risk assessment for renewals and expansion.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally by translating portfolio patterns into product feedback and roadmap input.
  • Build technical playbooks and onboarding frameworks to improve team consistency.
  • Mentor junior TAMs and contribute to internal capability development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Account Manager, Customer Success Architect, Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, or equivalent post-sale technical advisory role.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or TeamCity.
  • Strong technical foundation in DevOps tooling including Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Practical scripting ability in Bash, Ruby, Go, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging both executive and hands-on engineering audiences.
  • Commercial awareness of how technical work connects to renewal health, churn risk, and expansion.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity in complex customer environments.
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team-wide capability uplift.
  • Nice to have: mobile CI/CD experience, including iOS and Android pipelines with Xcode, Fastlane, and Gradle.
  • Nice to have: experience with large-scale monorepo architectures or complex multi-team pipeline configurations.
  • Nice to have: prior experience in a high-growth SaaS or developer tools company.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling and how it fits into build and delivery workflows.
