Description

  • Serve as the primary technical counterpart to the HCM Integration Manager and provide leadership coverage when needed.
  • Lead technical delivery and oversight for HCM integrations with platforms such as Fidelity, Shareworks, Aetna, and other third-party systems.
  • Review integration architecture, design, code quality, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production-support practices.
  • Partner with business stakeholders on roadmaps, prioritization, resource allocation, vendor management, and delivery execution.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical integration incidents and guide technical decisions and recovery efforts.
  • Build operational resilience through documentation, runbooks, cross-training, knowledge transfer, and primary/secondary ownership models.
  • Establish monitoring, escalation paths, recovery procedures, and backup ownership for critical integrations.
  • Mentor engineers and promote consistent engineering practices across the team.
  • Identify key-person dependencies and develop succession and coverage plans.
  • Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements for business-critical production systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, integrations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a Lead, Principal, or Staff Engineer leading complex technical architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle HCM APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and related Oracle integration technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, supporting, and troubleshooting HCM integrations with benefits, payroll, retirement, equity, identity, and employee-data providers.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, web services, middleware/iPaaS, SFTP/file-based, batch, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Experience building HCM integration templates using RTF and XSLT, along with Fast Formulas and value sets.
  • Knowledge of HCM security models, users, roles, areas of responsibility (AORs), workflows, routing, notifications, and approvals.
  • Experience with Visual Builder Studio (VBS) for page customizations.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, observability, release management, and change management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems; experience with large HCM integration portfolios, regulated/SOX environments, distributed teams, major HCM transformations, and Jira/Agile sprint ceremonies is preferred.
