Description

  • Maintain and support the existing Magento 2 instance to ensure stability and reliability.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes and plugin-related functionality.
  • Take over or share full technical ownership of clients’ digital ecosystem as needed.
  • Audit inherited codebases, identify technical debt, and document existing systems.
  • Execute seamless deployments and manage the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Optimize database performance, caching, and overall application performance.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools via APIs.
  • Collaborate with client teams and internal stakeholders on ongoing projects and platform improvements.
  • Support secure operations by applying PCI and platform security best practices.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect platforms with external systems.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Remote work eligibility in Latin America, with Bogotá, D.C. listed as a location reference.
