Description

  • Own one initiative at a time from problem framing through production rollout and post-launch metric review.
  • Lead AI agents to implement most of the code for your initiative while ensuring quality, safety, and production readiness.
  • Make technical decisions for architecture, data modeling, integrations, rollout, observability, and rollback strategy.
  • Design prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review loops that help agents ship correct code.
  • Partner daily with your PM on scope and tradeoffs and with your designer on UX decisions and prototyping.
  • Present initiative results 2–4 weeks after launch and explain whether the metric moved.
  • Write hand-written code in sensitive areas when agent-generated code is not appropriate.
  • Document decisions, runbooks, and workflows so they can be reused by other engineers.
  • Maintain a high bar for security, performance, observability, and customer/pro experience.
  • Work with your EM in weekly check-ins on initiative health, blockers, and growth.

Requirements

  • Deep skill in at least one of the company’s stacks plus credible production experience with AI coding agents.
  • Experience operating at lead, staff, principal, or equivalent level in practice.
  • Strong familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar.
  • Ability to make architecture and product calls independently without waiting for layered approvals.
  • Comfort being accountable for business outcomes and metrics rather than ticket volume or code volume.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with strong PM and design partners.
  • Strong documentation habits for decisions, rollout plans, and reusable artifacts.
  • Experience with one or more of the listed technologies: PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/React/React Native, Redshift, dbt, Segment, Airflow, AWS, Datadog, Sentry, GitHub Actions.
  • Candidates should be willing to work from anywhere.
  • Preferred: experience with MCP servers, evals tooling, and agent review workflows.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary of USD $80,000–$100,000.
  • Work from anywhere.
  • High ownership and autonomy.
  • Fast-moving team that loves to build, learn, and grow.
