Description

  • Bridge communication between analysts, subject matter experts, data scientists, and system designers to clarify requirements.
  • Develop and update enterprise architecture to support modernization of information management services and solutions.
  • Design network architectures and systems to host target services and solutions.
  • Advise on the standardized use of data visualization tools and integrate visual analytics for data.
  • Transform data interpretation and analysis into bi-weekly analytics delivered to the COR or Technical Monitor.
  • Transfer technical information to integrated project teams in support of solution design and development.
  • Assess risks of implementing new technology and develop countermeasures related to integration, interoperability, IT platforms, and IT policies.
  • Create visual and graphical artifacts such as process diagrams, workflows, user stories, and use cases using tools like Word, Visio, and Microsoft TFS.
  • Perform data modeling, interpretation, and analysis to support data dissemination methods and large-volume data management.
  • Assist with platform infrastructure, backend performance, database design, data storage, and analytics systems.
  • Assist in planning and documenting Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) requirements.
  • Develop, assess, and customize applications and tools, including backend services, scripting, server configuration, open-source coding, and machine learning applications.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software or solutions development in a federal government IT environment.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including R, D3, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with database development, database schema design, database administration, and data modeling.
  • Experience with machine learning and other data science techniques.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture design, cloud solutions, and backend infrastructure for large-scale data analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Experience developing visual and graphical artifacts using tools such as Visio and Microsoft TFS.
  • Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework, Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) processes, and federal IT compliance requirements including NIST, FISMA, and Section 508.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS or Azure cloud certification, relevant programming certifications, or equivalent.
  • Primarily remote/offsite with occasional onsite work in Hyattsville, MD or Atlanta, GA as needed.
