Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions and data warehouse structures.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Create logical and physical data models in collaboration with data architects and stakeholders.
  • Support integration between Snowflake and Azure cloud services and help establish data engineering standards.
  • Implement automated data quality checks, validation frameworks, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor and optimize ETL/ELT jobs, SQL queries, warehouse utilization, and production pipelines to meet SLA and performance goals.
  • Maintain documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, scientists, architects, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience developing end-to-end data pipelines from REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and tuning large-scale workloads.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience using Git and Azure DevOps or similar tools for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Preferred: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar cloud data platform certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred tech stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, REST APIs, and Power BI.
