Description

  • Set the technical direction and multi-year engineering roadmap for the Network Observability product line.
  • Lead engineering delivery for enterprise infrastructure products across SaaS and on-premises environments.
  • Architect and scale platforms that ingest, process, and analyze network telemetry, including flow data, SNMP, packet capture, synthetic testing, and streaming telemetry.
  • Deliver AI, machine learning, generative, and agentic capabilities for anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and predictive insights.
  • Develop plans to evolve long-lived codebases and reduce technical debt.
  • Build and manage geographically distributed engineering teams, including offshore transitions and multiple sites.
  • Coach and develop managers, senior technical leaders, and engineering talent.
  • Establish organization-wide software development standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Partner with Product Management, executives, and cross-functional teams on technical and business objectives.
  • Engage enterprise and government customers to understand requirements and resolve technical escalations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 10+ years managing senior individual contributors, leads, managers, and managers of managers.
  • Direct experience building network observability, network performance monitoring, or network/infrastructure management products.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and telemetry, including TCP/IP, routing and switching, NetFlow/IPFIX, SNMP, packet analysis, WAN/SD-WAN, ClickHouse, Prometheus/Grafana, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience delivering high-performance hardware or appliance systems for network telemetry and packet processing.
  • Extensive experience with SaaS/PaaS engineering and on-premises enterprise software delivery.
  • Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience operating at or reporting directly to the C-level, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in collaborative, agile development environments; public cloud, high-throughput data pipelines, AIOps, open-source architecture, public-sector compliance, post-acquisition integration, customer-facing technical roles, and both smaller and larger companies are preferred.
