Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with AI safety organizations, policy groups, funders, and political allies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for partners, including regular in-person meetings, follow-up, and commitment tracking.
  • Represent Blue Rose Research at AI and political convenings, briefings, and conferences.
  • Translate partner needs into testable research questions and scope polls, message tests, and related studies with the research team.
  • Prioritize AI research requests and help shape the firm's AI research agenda.
  • Manage AI client engagements from scoping through research design, delivery, follow-up, and client communication.
  • Lead client and partner briefings and develop practical recommendations on AI policy, politics, and communications.
  • Track AI requests, commitments, ownership, timelines, and overlaps across clients, funders, partners, and internal teams.
  • Review AI memos, decks, and talking points for accuracy, relevance, and audience fit.
  • Map the AI safety, policy, and funder landscape and identify emerging debates and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in politics, policy, philanthropy, research, or the technology sector.
  • Knowledge of AI safety and technology communities, including their organizations, debates, and terminology.
  • Understanding of Washington politics and policymaking, with the ability to translate between technical and political audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with polling, survey research, or message testing.
  • Experience leading client research projects from scoping through delivery and turning findings into recommendations.
  • Track record of building trust with senior leaders, funders, and organizational partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical, political, and funder audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, track commitments, and align teams on priorities.
  • Sound judgment in handling sensitive conversations and confidential information.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
  • Existing relationships in AI safety, AI policy, or related funder communities (preferred).
  • Experience at a polling firm, research organization, data-driven political organization, government, Capitol Hill, a political campaign, or in fundraising or funder relations (preferred).
  • Based in San Francisco or Washington, DC preferred.

  • Annual salary of $150,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience.
