Description

  • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to scope, plan, design, build, and launch new features.
  • Maintain existing functionality within the product controls ecosystem.
  • Lead technical discussions within the team and contribute to design and product discussions across the organization.
  • Mentor teammates and help grow their technical breadth and depth.
  • Direct AI agents across the full development lifecycle, from prototyping and implementation to debugging and code review.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and improve code quality using AI tooling.
  • Share effective AI-driven development patterns with the team.
  • Build highly available infrastructure that supports critical trust and safety decisions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience building and operating highly available services.
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional technical efforts and coordinating across teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills and customer empathy.
  • A growth mindset and comfort navigating open-ended problems.
  • Curiosity and initiative to build creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic coding tools in real production work.
  • Active interest in staying current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and experimenting with new capabilities.
  • Experience with technologies used by the team, including Kotlin, Java, HTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, DynamoDB, MySQL, Kafka, DataDog, Prometheus, AWS, and Kubernetes.
