Description

  • Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where possible to enable faster customer feedback and faster delivery.
  • Navigate integration and user experience tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance performance.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that support Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is preferred; Java experience is acceptable for the role.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Strong systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Ability to stay focused and know when to engage versus work independently.
  • Interest in building clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that improve user experience.
  • Portfolio and LinkedIn links should be included when applying.
