Description

  • Lead outreach and introduce Square’s ecosystem to SMB merchants across food and drink, retail, services, health and beauty, and other industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and support successful onboarding with partner teams.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals through high-volume sales activity.
  • Take a consultative approach to customer conversations by understanding merchant challenges and needs.
  • Partner with Product and Marketing to help ensure solutions align with market needs.
  • Use prior sales experience to inform creative go-to-market strategy.
  • Build trust and relationships with customers through email and phone communication.
  • Coordinate with internal experts and external partners to position Square competitively.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience or interest in helping SMB sellers.
  • Proven experience exceeding sales targets.
  • Structured thinking with the ability to assess business opportunities and evaluate prospective buyers.
  • Ability to gather support from internal experts and external partners.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for customer engagement by email and phone.
  • Curiosity about people and business, with the ability to inspire others.
  • Tenacity, adaptability, and the ability to think quickly in new situations.
  • Interest in receiving feedback and continuously improving your craft.
