Description

  • Represent Block to mid-market merchants as a thought leader in payments and a growth partner.
  • Own negotiations and execution for expansions and renewals across a portfolio of accounts.
  • Develop data-driven account plans and portfolio strategies to maximize growth for Block and its partners.
  • Build compelling business narratives that communicate Cash App and Afterpay’s value proposition to existing merchants.
  • Communicate and negotiate with senior decision makers at large brands, including C-suite stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Customer Service to move deals forward.
  • Manage a book of business across multiple verticals and geographies while driving revenue outcomes.
  • Deepen merchant relationships and support long-term retention and mutual success.
  • Aggregate and deliver merchant feedback and market insights internally in a structured, proactive way.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in account management, business development, sales, go-to-market, or strategy in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in a fast-moving technology or financial services company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience working across technical, marketing, and product stakeholders, with familiarity with product development, preferably in payments.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and frequent change while still delivering results.
  • Strong analytical rigor and comfort using data and analysis to build recommendations and business cases.
  • Experience negotiating commercial contracts and financial models.
  • Creative storytelling ability to translate data into persuasive partner-facing narratives.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-starter mentality.
  • Passion for the products and motivation to help more consumers build financial wellness with Cash App and Afterpay.
