Description

  • Represent Block to mid-market merchants as a thought leader in the payments landscape.
  • Manage negotiations and execution for expansions and renewals across the portfolio.
  • Develop data-driven account strategies and portfolio plans to maximize growth for Block and its partners.
  • Communicate value propositions and business cases to senior decision makers at major brands.
  • Partner with cross-functional internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Work with external partners’ cross-functional teams to move deals forward.
  • Build and expand relationships with leading brands and their senior executives.
  • Represent merchant feedback internally and deliver structured, proactive insights across the organization.
  • Drive revenue outcomes, retention, and long-term mutual success across a book of mid-market business.
  • Track milestones, KPIs, and partner alignment to manage deal progress methodically.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in account management, business development, sales, GTM, or strategy in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience in a fast-moving technology or financial services company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and earn trust with senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
  • High familiarity with product development, preferably in payments.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical, marketing, and product stakeholders with credibility among product and engineering teams.
  • Self-starter mentality with comfort operating in ambiguity and frequent change while still delivering results.
  • Strong analytical rigor, negotiation skills, and understanding of commercial contracts and financial models.
  • Creative storytelling ability to build data-backed business cases and communicate value propositions clearly.
  • Unwavering attention to detail.
