Description

  • Design, prototype, and implement complex gameplay systems and tools with designers, artists, and programmers.
  • Provide documentation to guide downstream teams and support production workflows.
  • Give creative and technical feedback on other designers’ work.
  • Interpret creative direction and execute features in alignment with project goals.
  • Serve as a technical expert on key features and participate in data debugging.
  • Guide others’ technical work and ensure content creation follows documented best practices.
  • Test new tools and features before they are released to the team.
  • Help plan the roadmap for the systems you own through completion.
  • Mentor designers and promote strong design principles across the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in technical design or systems design.
  • At least two shipped titles.
  • Experience with Unreal 5 and Blueprints.
  • Fundamental knowledge of game design processes and investigating in-game issues.
  • Self-directed with the ability to thrive in a highly technical environment.
  • Preferred experience with other design areas such as level design, UX/UI, or encounter scripting.
  • Preferred experience playing modern first-person games, including Immersive Sim or Action-RPG genres.
  • Preferred experience or knowledge of 2D/3D software.
  • Preferred experience with a variety of game engines.
  • Preferred experience with version control software.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in Canada.
