Description

  • Build gameplay systems, including narrative, exploration, and inventory features.
  • Support artists and animators with the Metahuman pipeline.
  • Partner closely with designers to create high-quality and fun player experiences.
  • Integrate modern Unreal pipelines to improve development efficiency and game quality.
  • Communicate technical constraints, trade-offs, dependencies, and execution plans to stakeholders.
  • Work across engine, gameplay, build systems, and automation to solve production problems.
  • Contribute to platform support and systems essential to delivering a polished and performant game.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing in C++ in Unreal Engine 4 and 5, ideally in a platform-focused or systems programming role.
  • Familiarity with console platform SDKs from Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo.
  • Knowledge of TRC/XR submission processes.
  • Deep experience building and maintaining gameplay systems that are responsive, scalable, and designer-friendly.
  • Strong ownership mindset and practical decision-making under production constraints.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada and residence within Canada.
  • Pacific-time overlap availability required for this remote-friendly role.
  • Experience with modern Unreal Engine 5 systems such as Metahuman, Nanite, and Lumen (preferred).
  • Experience shipping at least one title on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo hardware, especially in platform, performance, or engine roles (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Perforce, Jenkins, Unreal Build System, and Unreal Gauntlet (preferred).
