Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of high-performance distributed systems handling millions of global verification requests.
  • Build and optimize risk assessment pipelines and case management systems for compliance operations.
  • Develop and maintain internal tooling and dashboards using React and TypeScript when needed, with a primary focus on backend engineering.
  • Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with third-party KYC/AML vendors and internal data sources.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across backend, data processing, AI integration, and security.
  • Improve system reliability, performance, observability, and engineering efficiency through automation and best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and conduct thoughtful code reviews.
  • Continuously optimize system performance, scalability, throughput, and developer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
  • Solid backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Go, or similar backend technologies.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLM-powered tools into production systems, including model serving, inference pipelines, or AI-assisted automation workflows.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices at scale.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, caching technologies, message queues, and distributed system fundamentals.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin is required to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
