Description

  • Lead the biosignal-based algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices from requirements gathering through production, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Curate and label data for model development and validation.
  • Select and implement the most appropriate modeling approach for each problem, including deep learning and non-ML methods when appropriate.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain internal machine learning and deep learning tools to improve team efficiency and experimentation.
  • Develop new model architectures and algorithmic techniques for analyzing brain and biosignal data.
  • Improve software quality through testing, documentation, CI, non-regression testing, and reusable code practices.
  • Present technical results to stakeholders and support client engagement using algorithm outputs.
  • Support client-facing projects and help shape current and future algorithm development.
  • Work with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians across the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, ideally in health sciences or regulated fields.
  • Proven track record of bringing algorithms into production.
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and statistics.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch (preferred) or another deep learning framework.
  • Familiarity with deep learning advances such as Transformers, ViT, and large-scale model training.
  • Experience with software and ML engineering best practices, including testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Docker, CI/CD, and experiment tracking.
  • Experience with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or strong enthusiasm to learn the domain.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to different audiences.
  • Experience across scoping, data wrangling, experimentation, validation, regulatory documentation, deployment, and client collaboration.
  • Fully remote work eligibility in the U.S.

  • US-based salary range of $170,000–$190,000.
