Description

  • Manage and develop a team of 6–10 engineers, eventually including engineering managers.
  • Guide team processes, engineering quality, productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize tactical work and align execution with company strategy and partner teams.
  • Maintain and communicate an outcome-oriented long-term development roadmap.
  • Own project scope, timelines, stakeholder expectations, and delivery for team initiatives.
  • Drive product discovery, direction, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for analytics systems supporting life sciences, diagnostics, and biomarker discovery.
  • Oversee products, tooling, pipelines, feature-store infrastructure, and analytical integrations, including foundation models.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering management experience, including management of mid- to large-sized analytics engineering teams.
  • Experience with analytics engineering tools such as dbt or SQLMesh.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and pipeline technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Argo, or Airflow.
  • Familiarity with BI tools including Superset, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Experience in medical devices, clinical diagnostics, real-world data, pharma/biotech, or a related field.
  • Experience working in regulated industries and balancing agile development with strict design controls.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including aligning partners on tradeoffs and evolving plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand user needs and translate them into high-impact prioritization decisions.
  • Ability to anticipate organizational needs and address bandwidth, technical debt, and process limitations.
  • Bias toward simplicity, appropriate structure, composability, self-service, and empathy for stakeholders and users.
