Description

  • Participate in and lead the full biosignal algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices.
  • Gather specifications and requirements, curate and label data, and support validation and documentation work.
  • Develop, select, and implement the most appropriate modeling approach for each problem.
  • Build, deploy, maintain, and monitor machine learning and deep learning models for brain and biosignal data.
  • Improve internal ML and deep learning tools to increase team efficiency and support rapid experimentation.
  • Introduce new model architectures and algorithmic techniques while refactoring code for reusability.
  • Establish and improve best practices for testing, documentation, CI, and non-regression testing.
  • Present results to stakeholders and help them apply algorithms for client engagement.
  • Support client-facing projects and help shape the impact of Beacon’s algorithms for existing and future products.

Requirements

  • More than 4 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning.
  • Experience applying ML/DL in health sciences or other regulated fields.
  • Proven track record of bringing algorithms into production.
  • Experience with digital signal processing and statistics.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch or another deep learning framework for training, developing, and deploying models.
  • Familiarity with modern deep learning advances such as Transformers, ViT, and large-scale model training.
  • Experience with software and ML engineering best practices including testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Docker, CI/CD, and experiment tracking.
  • Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or enthusiasm to learn the domain.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across teams and presenting technical topics to varied audiences.
  • Interest in owning the full algorithm development lifecycle from scoping through deployment and client use.

  • US-based salary range of $150,000 to $170,000.
