Description

  • Own organic and paid acquisition strategy across all channels, including direct oversight of the paid acquisition agency.
  • Drive developer community acquisition through Reddit, Hacker News, dev-focused communities, technical content, GitHub presence, and DevRel-adjacent programs.
  • Own the product-led growth motion, including product qualification logic, activation funnel design, self-serve to sales-led handoff design, and expansion trigger strategy.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to prioritize self-serve improvements and advocate for PLG in planning cycles.
  • Own the corporate narrative for AI/ML segment targeting and translate it into channel strategy, content, and partnerships.
  • Develop go-to-market programs for key strategic ICPs through developer tools integrations, community presence, co-marketing, and technical content.
  • Own north star KPIs across the full funnel and partner with BI to build and maintain PLG dashboards.
  • Drive weekly and monthly reporting across the organization.
  • Work across Marketing Ops, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and external agencies to coordinate growth initiatives and customer lifecycle support.
  • Build the case for product investment and engineering capacity through cross-functional influence and partnership.

Requirements

  • Experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or IaaS, with technical customers.
  • Experience building and owning a PLG motion, including product qualification logic, activation funnels, and self-serve to sales-led handoffs.
  • Strong acquisition instinct and comfort diagnosing traffic and signup problems.
  • Ability to write credible briefs, push back on deprioritized engineering tickets, and build business cases for product investment.
  • Understanding of Reddit, Hacker News, dev communities, technical content, GitHub presence, and DevRel-adjacent programs as acquisition channels.
  • Comfort owning metrics such as signups, activation rates, and conversion and presenting them alongside strategy.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional action through partnership and persuasion rather than direct authority.
  • Preferred experience with AI/ML infrastructure, data pipeline tooling, or the AI builder ecosystem.
  • Preferred experience directing a paid acquisition agency, not just overseeing spend.
  • Preferred background in a post-IPO company balancing efficiency and growth mandates.
  • Preferred experience building a growth team or function from scratch.
