Description

  • Lead and manage daily payroll office operations, including internal and state payroll functions, payroll distributions, and payroll adjustments.
  • Supervise the flow of student, temporary employee, and state payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with University, State, and Federal policies.
  • Process payroll adjustments, exceptions, rejected or suspense items, return checks, and corrections to previously posted items.
  • Audit contract and hourly payments.
  • Support the PeopleSoft internal payroll application and participate in testing upgrades, updates, and new functionality.
  • Assist with state payroll processing when needed.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll, including Department of Labor, INS, and IRS rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an accounting, human resources, or payroll office.
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll and payroll processing.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including spreadsheet, database management, query, and word processing tools.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interpret institutional policies, plans, objectives, rules, and regulations and communicate them to others.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and populations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Foreign Tax Compliance reporting (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or Oracle ERP systems (preferred).
  • Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients.
  • Experience supporting sales and business development.
  • Flexibility to travel პერიოდically based on business and client needs.

  • Salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 USD.
