Description

  • Lead enterprise data governance programs, roadmaps, workshops, workstreams, and client deliverables.
  • Design and operationalize governance frameworks, policies, standards, ownership models, stewardship processes, and data quality programs.
  • Lead metadata management, data catalogs, business glossaries, lineage, critical data element, and data classification initiatives.
  • Facilitate governance councils, executive discussions, stakeholder workshops, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Manage client engagements, consultants, analysts, timelines, quality, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
  • Develop repeatable data governance and Databricks offerings, methodologies, accelerators, architectures, delivery models, and training programs.
  • Support sales pursuits by developing solution approaches, estimates, proposals, statements of work, demonstrations, and presentations.
  • Develop Databricks go-to-market strategy, partner relationships, consulting capabilities, and a $2M–$3M+ annual opportunity pipeline.
  • Provide technical leadership for Databricks Lakehouse architectures, Unity Catalog implementations, and cloud data platforms.
  • Mentor consultants, architects, engineers, and technical delivery leaders while driving organizational adoption of governance practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or enterprise data programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data governance programs and client-facing consulting engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM frameworks.
  • Experience developing governance policies, standards, procedures, controls, and Data Owner/Data Steward operating models.
  • Experience with metadata, business glossaries, data catalogs, lineage, data quality, and platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
  • Knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, PySpark, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and Lakehouse architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Experience managing cross-functional consulting and technical teams, multiple engagements, executive workshops, and complex stakeholder discussions.
  • Experience developing consulting offerings, supporting proposals and RFPs, and generating $2M–$3M+ annually in Databricks and data governance opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or a related discipline; relevant CDMP, DAMA, DCAM, Collibra, Informatica, Databricks, or cloud certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Databricks partner or technology alliance ecosystems is preferred.
  • Ability to travel periodically based on business and client needs.
