Description

  • Own end-to-end solution architecture across client-facing implementations and shared platform capabilities.
  • Translate business, regulatory, and customer requirements into actionable architecture designs.
  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as system diagrams, data flows, integration patterns, API contracts, and ADRs.
  • Define and enforce non-functional requirements for scalability, performance, availability, security, operability, and maintainability.
  • Guide the evolution of the platform from modular systems toward well-bounded microservices where appropriate.
  • Define and govern REST API standards, including versioning, error handling, and backward compatibility.
  • Lead contract-first API development using OpenAPI/Swagger and architect Azure API Management.
  • Design secure and reliable SFTP integrations, including encryption, validation, reconciliation, and failure recovery.
  • Assess current architecture for scalability, reliability, and compliance gaps and help reduce technical debt without slowing delivery.
  • Facilitate architecture reviews, participate in planning and estimation, represent architecture in release and executive discussions, and support production issue analysis and root-cause remediation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 3–5+ years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-grade distributed systems in regulated HIPAA environments.
  • Strong expertise with .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.
  • Experience with Azure services including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Blob Storage, and API Management.
  • Experience with relational and in-memory data stores such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and Redis.
  • Deep understanding of HTTP and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong experience with secure data exchange patterns, including SFTP.
  • Strong experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code reviews.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs on schema design and performance optimization.
  • Experience evolving modular monoliths into microservices is preferred.
  • Event-driven and asynchronous architecture experience is preferred.
  • Salesforce integration experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating commercial B2B SaaS platforms is preferred.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the U.S.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and complete employment eligibility verification.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
