Description

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Lead technical solution development into production with attention to performance, security, scalability, and data integration.
  • Mentor and/or lead other engineers on technical work.
  • Collaborate with clients through written and verbal communication to gather needs and present solutions.
  • Create detailed presentations, solution documentation, proof-of-concepts, and roadmaps.
  • Develop, debug, and optimize SQL queries and other data processing logic.
  • Work across cloud data platforms and modern data tooling to support solution delivery.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing data solutions.
  • Experience leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers.
  • Ability to deliver production-ready technical solutions that are performant, secure, scalable, and well-integrated.
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Experience with core cloud data platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
  • Client-facing written and verbal communication experience.
  • Experience creating detailed technical presentations and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred production experience with Hadoop and distributed data storage systems such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, ElasticSearch/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL systems.
  • Preferred experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS, or Google DataProc.
  • Preferred experience working with multiple data sources, including queues, relational databases, files, search systems, and APIs.
  • Preferred experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Preferred experience with automated data transformation and curation tools such as dbt, Spark, Spark streaming, and automated pipelines.
  • Preferred experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.
