Description

  • Negotiate all aspects of contract renewals using commercial judgment.
  • Identify customer needs and use account management to drive on-time renewal closure.
  • Engage decision makers to uncover requirements, budgets, stakeholders, approval processes, and roadblocks.
  • Develop and deliver win-win negotiation strategies that maximize contract value while protecting customer relationships.
  • Maintain and report an accurate rolling 150-day forecast and analyze renewal data for trends.
  • Document renewal steps in SFDC and Clari in accordance with Renewal Guidelines.
  • Manage quote-to-close processes for renewals within an assigned territory.
  • Create and negotiate strategic pricing and packaging proposals.
  • Defend against competitive pressure and communicate Asana’s differentiating factors.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, and Sales Management to resolve complex requests and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of renewal processes by identifying and resolving inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of renewals experience in a renewal sales or related role with a proven track record of success and quota achievement.
  • SaaS experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work West Coast Pacific Time working hours.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, value selling, discovery, closing, and executive presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain forecasts and identify trends from data.
  • Ability to identify and resolve renewal-related issues.
  • Familiarity with the Asana platform and work management products.
  • Experience with quoting systems, contracting tools, and subscription management systems.
  • Deep understanding of ARR and renewals.
  • Empathy, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment while balancing a book of business and customer satisfaction.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and apply them to improve productivity and decision-making.
