Description

  • Develop and execute business development and growth strategies for alternative investment firms.
  • Support market positioning, relationship management, and strategic partnership initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand investor, client, and industry relationships.
  • Partner with leadership teams on go-to-market planning and growth execution.
  • Advise on pipeline development, competitive positioning, and business expansion strategies.
  • Support fundraising readiness, investor engagement, and strategic communications initiatives.
  • Provide strategic, project-based leadership across client engagements as needs arise.
  • Deliver advisory work on engagements matched to your expertise while Arootah handles client origination and engagement management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Head of Business Development, Investor Relations leader, or equivalent senior growth leadership role.
  • Experience within a hedge fund, private equity firm, or family office.
  • Deep understanding of the alternative investment industry and institutional relationship landscape.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in dynamic environments.
  • Experience supporting fundraising readiness and investor engagement (preferred).
  • Ability to work on a project-based, as-needed basis through an advisor network.
  • Remote availability for contract engagements.
  • Interest in alternative-investment-only client work across hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices.
