Description

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize software processes and work instructions for aerospace regulatory compliance.
  • Support verification activities for safety-critical software, including hardware/software integration tests, software integration tests, low-level tests, structural coverage analysis, control and data coupling, worst-case execution time, and memory analysis.
  • Define the tool usage strategy and manage the tool qualification process under DO-330.
  • Generate and archive qualification records for all Archer programs.
  • Standardize compliant software processes and tools across Archer software teams, with a focus on software verification.
  • Provide training and mentorship to improve organizational excellence in software verification processes.
  • Support software teams in preparing software data, life cycle artifacts, and compliance reviews with certification authorities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in software development, software verification, and process definition for aerospace standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience with full lifecycle safety-critical software under design assurance standards such as DO-178C and its supplements.
  • Experience with aerospace software verification methods, including hardware/software integration tests, software integration tests, and low-level tests.
  • Experience with aerospace software analyses, including structural coverage, control and data coupling, worst-case execution time, and memory analysis.
  • Experience with tool qualification under DO-330.
  • Experience with model-based development and verification under DO-331.
  • Experience working with multiple software environments and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced, demanding work environments.
  • Experience with agile/lean methodologies.
  • Preferred experience with ARP4754A and DO-254.
  • Preferred experience with cybersecurity.
  • Preferred experience with system and software development for an aircraft OEM.
  • Preferred experience with certification compliance reviews.
  • Familiarity with Archer configuration management tools such as Polarion, Collaborator, Git/Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Teamcenter.
