Description

  • Support U.S. satellite functional verification and validation activities for aerospace projects.
  • Map technical requirements to verification and validation strategies that ensure product quality.
  • Review satellite functional specifications and develop test plans to verify and validate requirements.
  • Design and build automated testing systems, tooling, and ground support equipment to improve production and test workflows.
  • Develop, execute, validate, and report on test procedures and test results.
  • Train others on validated procedures and equipment after test documentation and equipment are confirmed.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and equipment issues, analyze test data, and write or review test reports and non-conformance documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution across engineering and integration activities.
  • Support system architecture trade studies and requirements development to meet mission needs.
  • Revise satellite functional specifications and generate architecture data products such as CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, and interface documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related scientific field required; Master's degree in STEM or a related scientific field preferred.
  • 9 years of aerospace experience, including 5+ years in satellite operations and SEIT on spacecraft.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and Test tools such as DOORS, CCS5, and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with satellite operations and subsystem engineering areas such as Guidance, Navigation, Control, Power, Data Handling, and Software.
  • Experience with product and quality assurance principles, including test flags and non-conformance documentation.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming in C or C++ and scripting languages such as TCL and Python.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, including electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, CAD models, and wire lists.
  • Experience across the full space mission lifecycle, including requirements development, design, manufacturing, test, and mission operations.
  • Periodic travel of less than 10% to facilities or partner companies.
  • US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
