Description

  • Contribute to the electricity cost modeling RESTful API.
  • Build DBT-based data pipelines that simulate electricity costs nationwide.
  • Translate product and subject matter expert requirements into engineering designs, specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Participate in peer technical design reviews to improve code efficiency and maintainability.
  • Improve squad- and organization-level engineering processes and establish best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with fully remote teams.
  • Own modules developed in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Help deliver calculations and optimizations against complex and imperfect data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • 6+ years of software development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience building REST APIs.
  • Experience with Python and enterprise Java; Spring and Spring Boot are preferred.
  • Experience building SQL data pipelines; Snowflake and DBT are preferred.
  • Experience deploying systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience adopting and implementing LLMs.
  • Demonstrated ability to create organizational-level impact.
  • Experience with a Python data science ecosystem such as Jupyter, Pandas, or Streamlit.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases; MongoDB is preferred.
  • Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale web API systems.
  • Experience working in the energy industry or a similar domain requiring deep subject matter expertise.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized platforms; Argo orchestration is preferred.
  • Front-end experience with React is preferred.
