Description

  • Work with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform.
  • Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions across the full project life cycle.
  • Translate client business processes and technical needs into application requirements and solutions.
  • Build and launch relational data models in production.
  • Develop APIs and integrations with multiple systems.
  • Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian AI tools, including RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Drive customer adoption and help clients become self-sufficient in building process applications.
  • Mentor and develop others while helping lead small teams through post-sale implementation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% or less annually.
  • Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation.
  • Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in continuous learning.
  • History of success working on cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices, including test-driven development and automated test suites in a CI framework.
  • Experience with APIs and integrations such as REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services.
  • Familiarity with AWS, AI, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, database, developer tools, management & governance, and elastic containers (preferred).
