Description

  • Serve as a bridge between product engineering and deployed operations for autonomy-enabled UAVs.
  • Own operational dependencies to help ensure mission success in remote, austere environments.
  • Stand up forward-deployed operations and support field deployment in challenging environments.
  • Ensure successful combat employment of Anduril products.
  • Shape long-term sustainment of deployed products and capabilities.
  • Support test events and customer demonstrations to advance vehicle autonomy development.
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers to align on operational needs and solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis on complex systems using logs and other technical data.
  • Train peers or customers on product operation and field use.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing, or test environments.
  • Prior military or defense contractor experience as a manned or unmanned pilot/operator, network technician, or crew chief/maintainer (avionics, GNC, electrical).
  • Demonstrated understanding of flight operations, aircraft systems, and sensors.
  • Proven ability to solve problems in unstructured situations at the interface of hardware, software, and operations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers.
  • Experience performing data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems using logs as a source of truth.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with computers, terminal environments, server management, and programming languages such as Python, Rust, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with IP networking, network administration or design, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with radios and systems such as MANET, SATCOM, or backhaul systems.
  • Prior operationally relevant deployment experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including deployments of up to two months at a time.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to meet health and medical requirements for deployment under DFARS 252.225-7040, DoDI 3020.41, and other applicable regional or supporting force requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Hands-on professional experience with developmental weapon or missile systems on manned and/or unmanned aircraft (preferred).
  • Experience with autonomy, behavior trees, CV models, or multi-vehicle operations (preferred).
  • Experience with ground-based air defense systems, air-breathing propulsion systems, flight line operations, or munitions storage and handling controls (preferred).
