Description

  • Deliver in-person, on-the-job, and classroom training for new hires and technicians across multiple product lines and sites.
  • Develop and maintain training content, job aids, instructional guides, and manufacturing-specific standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate hands-on production-floor training, troubleshooting exercises, and practical skill reinforcement.
  • Create and standardize skills matrices, training documentation, attendance records, competency assessments, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, production leadership, and stakeholders at each site to define learning objectives and content needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for specialized training or equipment support.
  • Support learning administration, including scheduling, logistics, setup, and evaluation.
  • Partner with instructional designers and LMS professionals to keep content current and relevant.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture and adherence to operating protocols in all training activities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned training areas and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a technician or technician trainer in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, assembly practices, and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to coach and explain complex processes clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other documentation tools.
  • Comfort with using or learning LMS platforms and digital training documentation tools.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, materials, records, and documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Self-starter who is energetic, driven, and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40–50% of the time across multiple sites.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Mechanical and electro-mechanical background or experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles or train-the-trainer certifications is preferred.
  • Training certifications such as Certified IPC Trainer, including J-STD-001 CIT, IPC-A-610/620 CIT, or IPC-7711/7721 CIT, are preferred.
