Description

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for RF and microwave manufacturing processes, assembly, and test methodologies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical consultation to manufacturing engineers, production teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Evaluate and integrate new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions into production.
  • Lead complex RF systems troubleshooting and root cause corrective action investigations for non-conformances, field failures, and test rejections.
  • Support new product introduction by transitioning products from prototype to high-volume production and improving manufacturability and supply chain scalability.
  • Collaborate with design engineering early in development to provide design for manufacturability feedback and assess manufacturing trade-offs.
  • Establish scalable design for manufacturability frameworks across products, sites, and manufacturing partners.
  • Review RF technical data packages and ensure documentation of performance parameters, test specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain RF workmanship standards, process parameters, and design rules aligned to product roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, reduce cost, shorten cycle times, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Act as a technical liaison among design, quality, supply chain, test, operations, and suppliers.
  • Present technical recommendations and project updates to senior leadership and technical teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • 12+ years of experience in a relevant manufacturing or design field.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly, organize work phases, and solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of PLM, ERP, and related manufacturing planning and management systems.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, more than 25%, to support global manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated success scaling product testing and production from tens or hundreds to hundreds or thousands.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
  • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, and SoC devices and technologies.
  • Deep expertise in RF and microwave manufacturing processes, including circuit board fabrication, component assembly, EMI/EMC mitigation, RF test methodologies, EMI/EMC testing, antenna integration and tuning, and material selection.
  • Experience implementing and testing to military and industry RF/EMI/EMC standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and TEMPEST requirements.
  • Experience interpreting compliance requirements and developing test plans for DoD and/or aerospace applications.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
