Description

  • Drive engineering execution across multiple teams and align stakeholders around product and program goals.
  • Use PM tools such as JIRA and Confluence to run sprint cadence, organize planning artifacts, and track milestones.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigations clearly to leadership and adjacent stakeholders.
  • Influence architecture and engineering decisions across multiple products or functional areas.
  • Partner with software, hardware, test, and product teams on cross-functional delivery.
  • Lead coordination with internal leaders and external stakeholders to clarify needs and resolve prototype-related issues.
  • Deploy and support prototypes in the field at customer events.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and develop durable improvements to developer workflows.
  • Build and manage 6-12 month roadmaps with clear milestones.
  • Teach and support other engineers while staying current on relevant defense technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in commercial technology or aerospace and defense.
  • Strong technical background with familiarity in systems engineering, software development, networking, and hardware engineering.
  • Experience shepherding complex technical projects from concept to prototype to full-rate production.
  • Ability to work in minimally structured environments with limited direction.
  • Proven client-facing technical program management and/or systems engineering experience.
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into business-impact insights.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.
  • Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing software is preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in UX design for complex systems or products is preferred.
  • Experience with defense acquisition processes, compliance, and reporting requirements is preferred.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret clearance is preferred.
