Description

  • Own the health, configuration, and reporting outcomes of Jira and Jellyfish across the engineering organization.
  • Design, build, and maintain complex Jira Cloud workflows, permission schemes, and automation rules at scale.
  • Map Jira signals to Jellyfish allocation buckets to ensure accurate investment distribution reporting.
  • Standardize issue types and field usage across 20+ squads to keep analytics statistically valid.
  • Use Atlassian Intelligence to translate plain-English requests into JQL for reporting and analysis.
  • Leverage AI tools and Jellyfish AI Impact to assess how AI coding assistants affect delivery time and code quality.
  • Automate ticket hygiene by flagging stale issues, summarizing comment threads, and triaging incoming requests.
  • Synthesize monthly Jellyfish data into executive-level narratives that explain the drivers behind the metrics.
  • Monitor DORA and flow metrics, including cycle time, lead time, and deployment frequency, to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance and stakeholders on reporting, requirement alignment, and rollout planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering Operations, Program Management, or a similar data-heavy engineering role.
  • Expert-level administration skills in Jira Cloud.
  • Power user proficiency with Jellyfish.
  • Deep understanding of Agile metrics and engineering investment categories.
  • Strong knowledge of DORA metrics, including deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and time to restore service.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira Automation and JQL.
  • Foundational knowledge of SDLC, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
  • Comfort using AI agents and LLMs for data analysis and scripting tasks.
  • Ability to write basic Python or JavaScript for API integrations is preferred.
  • Experience with GitHub and AWS is considered a significant bonus.
