Description

  • Use advanced sourcing techniques, market research, and competitive intelligence to map target companies and identify passive candidates for business development, capture management, and sales roles.
  • Initiate and develop tailored relationships with high-caliber growth talent through personalized outreach that communicates the company’s mission and technology.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for critical business development positions to support market capture efforts.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to define capture targets, customer profiles, and aligned sourcing strategies.
  • Analyze sourcing metrics, response rates, and market data to improve outreach effectiveness and talent acquisition workflows.
  • Act as a strategic talent advisor and market scout for leadership hiring needs.
  • Sell the company’s mission to sought-after technical and growth leaders in the defense and GovCon space.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing or recruiting.
  • Proven success identifying and hiring candidates for Business Development, Capture, Sales, or Account Management roles.
  • Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle, including pipeline development, proposal management, and capture strategy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence relationship-driven candidates.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and other modern sourcing tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to evaluating sourcing effectiveness and mapping talent markets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: deep understanding of Government Business Development (GovCon), federal procurement, capture management, proposal phases, and defense customers.
  • Preferred: familiarity with defense acquisition cycles, military customer demographics, or government/DoD sales.
  • Preferred: experience using Greenhouse, Gem, AI tools, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Preferred: highly self-sufficient, proactive, resilient, creative, and accountable in handling hard-to-fill roles.
