Description

  • Support the design, development, and validation of algorithmic capabilities for tracking, sensor/effector management, battlespace optimization, and threat forecasting.
  • Bridge system design, requirements management, modeling and simulation, and verification and validation activities.
  • Integrate emerging capabilities into new products and system configurations.
  • Lead requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams and define success amid ambiguity.
  • Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and analysis tools to evaluate system performance using simulation and field data.
  • Use data-driven analysis to verify customer requirements are met and create artifacts that trace performance as the system evolves.
  • Develop and implement modeling and simulation frameworks to validate algorithmic performance and test system behavior across scenarios.
  • Scope ideal system architecture, scrutinize system performance, and ensure deployed systems meet customer requirements.
  • Own systems end to end and identify and resolve issues across subsystem boundaries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hardware and software systems engineering experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience using model-based systems engineering across the program lifecycle.
  • Experience with tools such as JAMA, Cameo, Matlab, Simulink, and AFSIM.
  • Proficiency in Python for data parsing, modeling and simulation, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Skills in statistics, AI/ML, requirements, testing, and MBSE.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering standards to engineering processes or requirements.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to developers, system leads, and customers.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and challenging problems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS (preferred).
  • Familiarity with real-time and safety-critical software constraints (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ or Rust (preferred).
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (preferred).
  • Prior involvement in field exercises, test events, or experimentation campaigns (preferred).
  • Comfort obtaining data from software platforms using command-line tools (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a defense, aerospace, or naval environment (preferred).
  • Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, radar, optics, computer vision, wireless communication, software-defined radios, or networking (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and data visualization (preferred).
  • Transcripts are requested early in the application process, or applicants must provide detailed academic performance information in relevant technical courses.
