Description

  • Collaborate with the customer to derive and validate high-level software requirements for electronic warfare capabilities.
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from system requirements through software development artefacts and configuration baselines.
  • Facilitate technical risk board meetings and help define risk mitigation strategies with software engineers.
  • Plan technical deliverables with project management and track implementation progress toward first flight.
  • Prepare, review, and authorize technical documents for compliance and certification readiness before customer delivery.
  • Manage software product qualification and certification activities with the customer and aviation authorities.
  • Partner with quality assurance to ensure technical deliverables meet required quality standards and resolve findings.
  • Provide clear status updates and technical change updates to Chief Engineering and Programme Management.

Requirements

  • Overseen system engineering for electronic warfare system development from conceptual design through successful first flight.
  • Delivered software-intensive avionics or electronic warfare systems currently operating in active service.
  • Extensive experience developing embedded software for avionics systems in accordance with DO-178C and ARP4754B across the full lifecycle from requirements to verification.
  • Established trusted relationships with civil or military aviation authorities, including participation in formal panel meetings or Stages of Involvement (SOI).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
  • Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or a related discipline (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with integrating modern AI or machine learning models into highly regulated aerospace environments (nice to have).
