Description

  • Own tracking intelligence infrastructure end to end, including telemetry ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and production deployment.
  • Develop ML models that detect correlation failures, track quality degradation, and root causes of tracking anomalies.
  • Build autotuning systems that adjust tracking algorithm parameters, frame rates, and model configurations based on incoming data.
  • Design human-in-the-loop tools and query interfaces that let engineers ask questions about tracking behavior and receive data-driven answers.
  • Instrument C++ tracking algorithms with logging and standardize telemetry for analysis and model training.
  • Package and deploy models into air-gapped, security-scanned environments with no external connectivity.
  • Manage the ML lifecycle, including data catalogs, labeling, model registries, versioning, and validation.
  • Translate between tracking domain concepts and ML techniques to deliver practical solutions.
  • Evaluate make-versus-build decisions for models and algorithm architectures.
  • Work independently in a hands-on role that includes architecture, coding, deployment, and rapid iteration.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience combining ML engineering and data science, with both model development and production deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
  • Experience with MLOps practices, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model versioning, experiment tracking, and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with ML infrastructure tools such as MLflow, Dagster, or Airflow.
  • Understanding of tracking, estimation, or filtering algorithms such as Kalman filters and data association techniques.
  • Ability to work with streaming time-series data and engineer features from algorithm telemetry.
  • Experience building data catalogs, managing ground truth labels, and validating model performance.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write maintainable, production-quality code independently.
  • Comfort working in C++ environments to add instrumentation and logging.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
  • Experience deploying ML models in edge, embedded, or air-gapped environments with security constraints (preferred).
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or sensor systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Experience with anomaly detection, root cause analysis, or automated diagnostics systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AutoML, hyperparameter tuning, or online learning techniques (preferred).
  • Understanding of radar systems, sensor fusion, or signal processing (preferred).
  • Experience building conversational or query interfaces for technical systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with model registries and model-as-data artifact management (preferred).
  • Experience with distributed data processing tools such as Spark or Dask for large-scale telemetry analysis (preferred).
  • Formal coursework or training in MLOps, data science, or estimation theory (preferred).
  • Active U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance (preferred).
