Description

  • Develop vehicle software for autonomous robotics systems such as the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to build software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry.
  • Own foundational vehicle software that supports initiatives from early concept simulation through first flight and live operations.
  • Build software solutions that process and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Work within and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Contribute to software for large-scale fleet management.
  • Support development of critical software used in real-world defense applications.
  • Collaborate on application development and graphical user interfaces for related systems, where applicable.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • 3+ years of experience working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Rust, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • 3+ years of experience working with JMPS.
  • Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
  • Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
  • Experience with the JOMS/NOMS ecosystem, with a focus on application development and graphical user interfaces, preferred.
  • Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments, preferred.
  • Experience with feature and algorithm development and an understanding of behavior trees, preferred.
  • Experience developing software and hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality, preferred.
  • Experience with distributed communication networks and message standards, preferred.
  • Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics, preferred.
  • Experience with Universal Armament Interface (UAI) and WOSA, preferred.
