Description

  • Manage a portfolio of customers and drive value, renewals, and expansion.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to utility customers across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Proactively engage customers through regular check-ins, business reviews, and in-person visits.
  • Lead customer onboarding, platform training, and support during trial and evaluation periods.
  • Work with customers to refine forecasts based on feedback during evaluations.
  • Resolve customer support and user administration tickets with strong responsiveness.
  • Identify and escalate renewal risk, coordinating cross-functional mitigation efforts.
  • Partner with Analysts and Solutions Consultants to address product issues, customer needs, and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
  • Track and work toward strong net dollar retention and expansion outcomes for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of customer success experience in a B2B SaaS or Data-as-a-Service environment.
  • Experience working with executives at SMB and enterprise businesses.
  • Fluency in electricity markets, ideally with experience working with utility customers.
  • Demonstrated success owning a book of customers and driving retention and expansion.
  • Experience with core customer success practices such as success planning, business reviews, onboarding, product training, and renewal management.
  • Experience with highly technical products, particularly data science-based products.
  • Hands-on data analytics experience with tools such as SQL, Python, or Snowflake.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to improve workflows, conduct analysis, build tools, or drive efficiencies.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to assess account health and recognize expansion opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead calls and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot or CS platforms such as Gainsight is a plus.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Location in Houston or remote in Pacific time is strongly preferred.
