Description

  • Manage controlling and financial reporting for engineering services between North America and regional partners across South America, Enlarged Europe, and Asia Pacific, including actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Lead and support special projects such as process improvements, regional funding strategy implementation, and global engineering/finance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with global engineering and finance teams to ensure accurate related-party and IFRS accounting and support timely contract execution and cash settlement.
  • Collaborate with accounting, tax, purchasing, and treasury teams to implement new processes and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Global Engineering Finance structure.
  • Support Group ER&D special projects.
  • Work with operational and engineering counterparts to manage financial planning and cost controllership activities.
  • Analyze large data sets and present findings clearly and concisely to management.
  • Support leadership presentations and operational meetings with frequent data updates.
  • Develop understanding of engineering product development and vehicle lifecycle management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or an MBA if the bachelor's degree is not in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business unit budgeting and forecasting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
  • Ability to deliver high-priority requests in a timely manner and provide recommendations for deliverables.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP software preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookup functions, and experience with Essbase are beneficial.
  • Accounting knowledge and automotive industry knowledge are beneficial.
