Description

  • Sustain and grow client relationships across large, integrated accounts.
  • Lead account teams and provide strategic guidance to clients.
  • Develop strategies that deliver the best possible outcomes for clients and the firm.
  • Lead proposals, bids, extensions, and recompetes, including proposal design and pricing.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to retain current clients, attract new clients, and expand capabilities.
  • Work across Altarum operating divisions to support cross-enterprise collaboration and growth.
  • Build, recruit, coach, and develop talent, including Account Directors.
  • Provide oversight and quality control for client accounts in the portfolio.
  • Ensure account profitability, sustainability, and strong client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate budget, performance, risk review, and mitigation efforts with Account Directors.
  • Partner with corporate functions such as finance, legal, contracts, marketing, and communications on data calls, contract issues, and thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant technical experience, with health-focused experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing large, complex teams.
  • Prior communications firm and/or government or government consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Action-oriented, organized, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
  • Experience with federal contracting rules and standards.
  • Must be currently eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
  • Work must be performed within the continental U.S. for the duration of employment, unless contractually required otherwise.
  • Ability to work core hours aligned with Eastern Time, unless otherwise approved.
  • Ability to complete a federal background investigation and potentially obtain an HHS PIV badge.
  • Remote employees must maintain a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace with reliable internet and a mobile device.

  • Salary range of $128,125 to $161,437.50 annually at the 100% FTE level, prorated for this 75% appointment.
